The Arolsen Archives are the international center on Nazi persecution with the world’s most comprehensive archive on the victims of National Socialism. We’re part of UNESCO’s Memory of the World. And we’re working to ensure that the stories of millions of people persecuted during the Nazi reign are told, because their fates are a reminder that the reasons for persecution are not a thing from the past.
By means of launching exciting campaigns such as #everynamecounts or #StolenMemory and new digital offerings, we want to encourage in particular the younger generation to engage with remembrance culture. Of course, this includes a perfect project management for these and new campaigns. And this is where you come into play!
 

Your Role

  • You will be responsible for implementing one or more sub-projects from the fields of events (focus on digital events), campaigns (print, digital, TV), education, outreach, website.
  • You will share your creative input to provide for the development of new ideas (focus on digital); in terms of content, your focus will be on the #everynamecounts campaign.
  • Of course, numbers, data, facts must not be missing in this context: You are responsible for calculation, time and budget planning.
  • You will be the contact person for external service providers and prepare briefings, minutes and presentations.
  • If you have an eye for quality management, controlling and the evaluation of target achievement based on defined measurands and key figures, you should not hesitate any longer to apply for this position.

Your Profile

You identify with the goals of the #everynamecounts campaign and the mission of the Arolsen Archives and want to actively engage in the subjects of human rights, democracy-building and anti-discrimination.

  • You have a university degree in the fields of marketing, communication, business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • You have at least three years of experience in project management (focus on digital projects) and have already managed campaigns (preferably in an agency context).
  • Knowing how to handle standard communication and project management tools is part of your expertise.
  • You not only have creative ideas, but also experience in controlling, and you can convince with analytical and structured thinking and acting.
  • Working with office programs is not novel for you.
  • Business fluent knowledge of German and English is one of your strengths. If you have additional language skills, we will be even more pleased!
  • You are a good communicator, and you are able to inspire others with your ideas; you can be creative and innovative even under a heavy workload, and you don’t lose sight of the big picture even in stressful situations.

Remuneration:
Our staff are employed under the collective agreement TV AL II*). The conditions include a 38.50-hour working week, holiday and Christmas bonuses, 30 days of paid annual leave and a company pension scheme. This position is assigned to salary bracket C-7**).

Start: At your earliest convenience, preferably by August 1, 2022 already. The position is temporary, i.e. limited to December 31, 2023.
