The Memorial Museums Department of the Topography of Terror Foundation developed a Pageflow that tells the story on the diversity of the memorial museums landscape in Germany in multimedia form.
With the project gedenkstätten-digital the Memorial Museums Department of the Topography of Terror Foundation offers memorial sites and initiatives a way to digitally manage and publicly present their collection. This is done on the basis of the museum-digital.de project, which has been operating successfully since 2012.
The 27th of January — the day on which, in 1945, the Red Army liberated the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp — has been the day of remembrance for all victims of National Socialism in Germany for over 25 years. On this day of remembrance, memorial museums and documentation sites, as well as remembrance initiatives on the history of the National Socialist dictatorship from all over Germany, will commemorate the historical events on site by illuminating local sites of remembrance after dark.
