#Lights Against Darkness

The 27th of January — the day on which, in 1945, the Red Army liberated the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp — has been the day of remembrance for all victims of National Socialism in Germany for over 25 years. On this day of remembrance, memorial museums and documentation sites, as well as remembrance initiatives on the history of the National Socialist dictatorship from all over Germany, will commemorate the historical events on site by illuminating local sites of remembrance after dark.
