A number of memorial museums in Germany focus on resistance to the Nazi regime. Here, the different motivations and diverse activities of the resistance are presented. Such resistance was only carried out by a small minority.
The fate of some of the people who resisted in Nazi Germany is documented in places connected with their lives. Both resistance groups and individuals are remembered at such sites.
The actions of opponents of the Nazi regime, especially those from occupied countries, and their persecution are also addressed, as a cross-cutting theme, at the former sites of concentration camps and police and judicial detention centres.
