The memorial museum overview is compiled by the Topography of Terror Foundation and lists the nearly 300 memorial museums, initiatives, and documentation centres in Germany that are actively involved in documenting Nazi crimes and commemorating the victims at historical crime scenes. Hence, it offers the most comprehensive overview of these facilities. In addition, around 450 important international sites are listed here that commemorate the victims of National Socialism.
